A personal and creative project that explores my interest in people, cultures, and how we connect and keep stories alive through food. Projects such as these ignite curiosity about others, which is paramount to creating meaningful and effective product designs.
With a small team of creatives, we dove into four different stories, rooted in all parts of the world. Our goal was to share these personal anecdotes through film, connect with an audience on a deeper level, and make someone feel and think, "That's me, too!" Because isn't that what cinema is?
The Uncommon Plate celebrates the diversity of biculturalism in the United States with everyday chefs preparing a favorite dish. Each episode serves a unique story of nostalgia, love or survival that ties them to their roots.
